MTU is the diesel propulsion systems division of the German DaimlerChrysler Group and a world-renowned manufacturer of heavy-duty diesel engines. Its products are widely used in military, railway, off-road vehicles, marine vessels, and power plants (including uninterrupted standby power plants). As early as 1883, MTU developed a high-speed internal combustion engine for automobiles. In 1901, it designed and manufactured the world-renowned Mercedes automobile, and subsequently developed various high-end luxury models and engines. In 1909, it began designing and manufacturing aircraft engines, and in 1923, it began producing high-performance diesel engines. To date, it has produced over 174,000 engines, with users worldwide. The German Mercedes-Benz MTU 2000 and 4000 series are currently among the most advanced diesel engines. Developed and manufactured by the German Engine & Turbine Union Friedrichshafen GmbH (MTU) in 1997, these engines include five different models with eight, twelve, sixteen, eighteen, and twenty cylinders, with output power ranging from 270 kW to 2720 kW. It features an advanced design and is equipped with the MDEC electronic management system, which revolutionized the traditional high-pressure fuel pump concept, similar to the electronic fuel injection (one fuel injection pump per cylinder) found in high-end cars. The MDEC electronic management system is essentially an industrial computer installed on the engines of the Mercedes-Benz 2000 and 4000 series. Many sensors are connected to the computer via numerous cables, and the modules in the computer are pre-programmed at the factory to ensure that an appropriate electronic fuel injection quantity is provided under different environments and operating conditions: fuel injection pressure, fuel injection quantity, fuel injection angle, and fuel injection opening and closing time.

1. Use 0# to -30# light diesel oil; specify 15W-40CD grade engine oil (or as required by the diesel engine manual).

2. Starting temperature is above +5℃; with water/oil temperature heating device, starting temperature is -15℃; when the unit is used below 0℃, antifreeze and other low-temperature starting measures should be used.

3. Unit noise level: ≤85～95db(A), conforming to international standards.
